Hi,

I have the following issue: I have created a database with English as default language, and created a product. Afterwards I have added French as a second language and set the Administrator's language to French. When I duplicate a product, and change the name it only affects the French naming, not the English naming, even if I click on the translation icon, change the "source value" and save afterwards.

If I do the same when the Administrator's language is set to English, I have no problem changing the source and translation values.

Is this a bug or correct behavior??

I have the same issue but I didn't know that changing the admin 's language resolve that. Did you post this in launchpad as a bug?

Unfortunately this BUG still continues even in v14 (I haven't tested v15 yet), does anyone have a solution?

You do not have to change the default language and add/modify existing products to get translations.

You have to create the various translations to get the translated names for your products. You might run into the issue that the name of the product is not changed when printing the order/offer. It is something I have not tried myself yet.
